Calender User Guide

Overview

The Calendar feature is the primary scheduling interface for managing appointments, bookings, and time blocks. It provides a visual representation of your business schedule with day, week, and month views, allowing you to efficiently manage bookings across all service types and team members.


How to Use

Accessing the Calendar

  1. Log in to the booking system using your credentials.
  2. Click Calendar in the main navigation menu.
  3. The calendar loads in month view by default, centered on the current date.

Navigating the Calendar

  • Date Navigation:
  • Use arrow buttons to move between days, weeks, or months.
  • Click Today to return to the current date.
  • Click any date to center the view on that date.
  • View Options:
  • Day View: Hourly breakdown for a single day.
  • Week View: Weekly schedule overview.
  • Month View: Monthly schedule overview.

Using Filter Controls

  • Category Filter: Filter by service types (Services, Consultations, Classes, Resources). Toggle categories on/off.
  • User Filter: Select specific team members. Multiple selections supported.
  • Location Filter: Filter by business locations.

Adding Appointments

  1. Click Add Appointment in the header.
  2. Select appointment type (Service, Class, Consultation, Resource).
  3. Fill in client info and service details.
  4. Set date, time, and assigned staff member.
  5. Review and confirm the appointment.

Managing Time Blocks

  1. Click Add Time Block to mark unavailable periods.
  2. Set start and end date/time.
  3. Add description (e.g., "Lunch Break", "Staff Meeting").
  4. Time blocks prevent bookings during specified periods.

Viewing Event Details

  1. Click any appointment or time block in the calendar.
  2. View detailed information:
  • Date and time
  • Category and service type
  • Assigned staff member
  • Location
  • Client info (for appointments)
  1. Close modal when finished.

Configuring Calendar Settings

  1. Click the gear icon in the header.
  2. Configure settings:
  • Start and end hours for daily view.
  • Time slot duration (15, 30, or 60 minutes).
